My wife and I are starting to get close to retirement.  After 29 years of marriage, raising two children, and juggling two careers in the Denver suburb of Littleton, Colorado, we have purchased 40 acres of land in Elbert County, Colorado.  There's a little bit of Green Acres going on here:  my wife has been an engineer at what's now Lockheed Martin for over thirty years and I spent 16 years there myself.  Neither of us has any real experience with life in the country.
